Learn Up & Paddle Out – Huntington Beach Surfing Lessons
Operating in partnership with the State of California, Banzai offers summer surf camp for kids, as well as year-round surf lessons in the best beginner spot in Huntington Beach. All lessons include surfboards, wetsuits, and all the sand you can eat : )
Surf Lesson Choices: Bargain, Private, Corporate, or Summer Camp
Bargain
We offer a seasonal (non-winter) adult-only group lesson, daily at 11AM for $99 each. This is a 90 minute ‘open’ lesson (which becomes a 1hour personal lesson (lucky you) if you’re the only one who shows up) Anyone 14 or over can jump in! Popular with solo travelers and people who sleep late : ) Staffed at 1 instructor per 4 surfers, it’s not for the frail and needy : ).
Private
Our most popular surf lesson, perfect for families with young kids. At 2 hours, it’s a bit more time, and offers earlier (better) start-times and closer supervision than the ’11am bargain’. You may also ‘super-size’ your group w/ photos, lunch, t-shirts, and additional time. Typically staffed at 1 instructor per 1-3 surfers. Signup!

Corporate group Surf Lessons
Our beginner-friendly surf spot at Banzai Surf can accommodate groups up to 80 people. For company or college surfing groups of eight or more, contact us via email to start planning! Autumn and winter is ideal. Staffing is normally one instructor per 2-5 people – Staffing & price depends on several conditions. Also add lunch, photos, half-price tee’s and more!

Summer Camp
Banzai’s claim-to-fame summer surf camp now includes your action surf photos and a t-shirt! Largely for kids (median age is around 14), but open to all ages 6 and over. Surf Camp runs Monday thru Friday every week of summer from 8:30 to 12:30, and most of that is water-time! (Some kids grow gills : ). Staffing is one instructor per 2-5 students, depending on conditions. We provide the surfboards, wetsuits, and all the sand they can eat. : )
Advanced Surf Coaching
We like our ‘next level’ customers! The learning curve is long, and just one private surf lesson can fix months of frustration with new skills. You will have the benefit of your instructor’s many years of experience to work on:
• Efficient paddling skills

• Well-timed takeoffs (Everyone’s biggest challenge!)
